Artist's Comments Time to wake up, little Eevee. It's your first dawn! People voted for the egg to hatch into an Eevee, so here she is! I'm calling her Eevian. It's a portmanteau of Eevee and Vivian (a name derived from the Latin vivus, meaning "alive"). The people voted: it will rain in the next drawing! Experimented with combining oil paint and airbrush in ArtRage. It's also another grayscale-first drawing. Been playing a lot with layer blend modes too. Placing the egg smack dab in the middle is bad composition, but it was the best crop for the final image. |

Yea it's pretty balanced, that's why it's ok. I would've prefered to use the rule of thirds or the golden ratio for the egg placement though. Next time I'll plan the composition, this time I was just fooling around.
