:omfg: It's regular Eevee vs shiny Eevee! A battle in the wild is about to start! Who'll come out on top?

:w00t: Finally, a real EPP drawing! Onwards to the Eeveelutions!

:painter: Original size is 30002 pixels. It's made in ArtRage with the oil paint tool.
:) The background came out way more detailed than I initially intended. I simply enjoyed painting it.
:paranoid: Regular Eevee's eye appears to be smack dab in the middle of the image. I didn't really pay attention to that...
All in all I think the composition is ok. I kinda made a natural spotlight of the scenery, which does an reasonable job of focusing the image. Inititally I had the grass run all the way to the bottom, but that just wouldn't do. The dark patches make things more dynamic and interesting as well.

 Can you name all of the flora? I know I can't...

Holy... :o I had to sit here and stare at this for quite a while before I could touch my keyboard!

There's so much detail to take in. The myriad of colors and textures is incredibly inviting and pleasing to the eye, evident even from first spying the piece as a tiny thumbnail. All of the painstaking dabs and dashes the scenery is composed of give this such a classy impressionistic appearance. This style has a heavenly harmony between realism and artistic liberty, with everything easily identifiable but also beautifully unreal. What absolute patience, dedication, and skill this piece must have required!

One detail I particularly like is the pink-blossomed vines creeping up the trees. Those were something you didn't have to do, something that may go unnoticed by many viewers. But they really are lovely and the tiny splash of pink is rewarding to find admidst the expansive greens and browns. Great use of blue, too. From the lively pale dashes of it in the foreground flora to the dark hidden hints of it in the distance behind the trees, it does its part to contribute to the overall incredible depth and beauty of this piece.

And the Eevees! Oh, the Eevees! The sharper, finer detail in their fur is a marvelous contrast to the looser painting style of the scenery. They really jump out at the viewer and command attention to their battle. Extremely skillful work, inbuing them with so much life through their positions and expressions, as well as with the depth and realism of their fur. Like the cherry on the top of a massive bowl of ice cream dripping with toppings, how cute the Eevees are in your style also adds the the vast charm of the artwork as a whole.

How about I stop jabbering and leave it at this... Suffice it to say, this rocks my socks. :worship:

needs something witty to put here...

It's very lovely. I especially like the way you've made the background particularly effective, but a fairly simple array of different shades of greens and browns, like oil painting. I always try too much for detail and end up failing miserably. The eevees too are in a great, actual pose. And I noticed that you've included their shadows too. After reading Peachfuzz's message I also noticed the vines. Lovely work, all up!
